Tick Tock. Tick Tock.

There was a farmer who lost his watch in the barn.

This watch was given to him by his father and there was a sentimental attachment to the watch.

He searched high and low, but could not find it.

He enlisted the help of  a group of children, promising them a reward.

They couldn’t find the watch either.

But one little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance.
“Why not” the farmer thought, “After all, this kid looks sincere enough.”
So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn.

After a while the little boy came out with the watch in his hand!

The farmer was both happy and surprised and so he asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had failed.
The boy replied, “I did nothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just looked for it in that direction.”

A quiet, silent, peaceful mind can think better than a busy, noisy, worked-up mind.

Let us tune out the clutter and allow a few minutes of silence to our mind every day.

Let us be S.I.L.E.N.T. to L.I.S.T.E.N to ourselves and to others.
