FacebookTwitterGoogleLinkedIn

Rating: ****

Cast: Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou

Director: James Wan

Plot: Former Black ops operative Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) is out to take revenge for the loss of his younger brother Luke who was put in hospital by Dominic (Vin Diesel) and his crew. If you had seen the last one in the series, you would remember the tease. Shaw puts Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) in hospital after a face-off and brings down the house Dom shares with his amnesiac wife Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), pal Brian (Walker) and his wife Mia (Jordana Brewster). Then as Dom goes after Shaw, he gets connected to Frank Petty, another agent who is looking for a code, that can tell who is where and at what time. If Dom can bring Petty what he wants, Petty will help Dom get to Shaw. The two join forces and a roller coaster thriller begins that cuts through Azerbaijan to Dubai.

Why I accept such high voltage action that I know isn’t real? Simply because when you go and see a Furious series film, you watch it for stunts that defy both death and physics, family-first ethos, sexy one-liners that would bring the joker out of you even in a thrilling position. And when the crew does all of it in 3D, you will remain fixated in your seat, I can bet. You go to watch men and women do things you know are not normal but you still want to believe.

What’s super hot: The car scenes are back and in 3D they only look fancy and much more enthralling. Finally what also is amazing is the tribute to Walker. Please do not leave the hall till the end. This tribute cannot be missed. The send-off is so well done it will leave your eyes moist. It did for me. The film again says that yes there are cars, sexy babes and bitches, fancy villains, good-looking hunks but whats most important is family and friendship.

Still Thinking: Don’t. Just book your tickets and go watch. Watch it for action, entertainment and Paul Walker

PS: RIP Walker, you shall be missed.
