You have to agree this movie is of a different league. Today I will discuss two aspects of this movie, one is concept of the movie and another is other technicalities of the movie.
First of all, I don’t agree with the concept shown in the movie. Before being tagged as Chauvinist or sexist, let me clear the fog why I do not support the concept.
I too believe in equality. I do not believe one has to to office work and the other one will have to sit back at home and do household activities. In case you like doing household activities, like in this movie Kabir wanted to do so, you don’t have to do it just for the sake of it. To me equality means both going out and working, both working together for the house, both taking equal responsibilities. To me equality means both being independent on financial matter, both having no inferiority or superiority complex, that is, equality means to me.
I agree and feel ashamed we are still living in a Patriarchal society but Matriarchal society can not be an answer to that as it will lead to the same problem we are facing today, only the victim will be the other gender, but the problem will remain same. And that is the reason I don’t agree to the concept of this movie.
Now lets talk about acting and script of the movie. Acting wise I would say it was an average movie, I think the best actor was Kia’s mother. The movie at the beginning was moving very fast and I though because they wanted to focus on the lives of post marriage they were doing so which was correct. But since the movie was moving very fast on the first half, it looked a little bizarre.
The movie was also very predictable. When Amitabh Bachhan and Jaya Bhaduri made appearance on the movie, it reminded me of the Abhiman which has a lot of similarity with this movie.
I would rate this movie 2.5 out of 5 star and I think it’s a good timepass movie, just don’t be influenced by the movie.
