Yesterday I went to watch Dil Dhadakne Do. I got little late but better late than never. So I have been listening to a lot about this movie, more positive yet negative too. This movie isn’t about an epic cause, this movie is about small stuff which we keep forgetting in our day to day life.
To start with, what comes to your mind when when you hear gender equality. If the husband allows his wife to work along with her day to day normal house work, do you call this gender equality? No, I don’t and the same is shown on the movie as well. Gender equality means when the wife does what she truly wants without being answerable to anyone. There’s a short thin thread between loving your wife and claiming your wife which we tend to forget. Yes, you have the right to know what your wife is doing and to suggest her but the same is applicable for your wife as well.
This movie talks about such issues which might look small at first but these smaller bricks are the building blocks of our life. I really liked the sarcastic issues that were portrayed, that to me requires intelligence in creating cinema, quality cinema.
I would highly recommend to go for Dil Dhadakne Do. The acting is superb. The only disappointment was the music and the way this movie ended.
