On the event of Independence day today I went for the movie Brothers. I have been expecting a good movie by Akshay Kumar after a long long time. Also the duo Akshay and Sidharth looked pretty well on the big screen.
First of all this is a pretty slow movie. What they have shown in complete on hour can be shown in only 10 minutes. Therefore this movie will require huge patience for the first half. There are few other problems with the first half
As per the movie I think Akshay Kumar could have looked far younger than what he was shown in the movie.
The only focus this movie had was to show the emotional problem these people are going through and how grand this tournament R2F was. I think the whole effort went into that only and they forgot to keep the movie tight. Akshay Kumar looking at his brother, Jackie Shroff crying every now and then, Sidharth trying to kill Akshay Kumar with his wrath, I mean sometimes it felt to be too much. I also found the background music to be very loud and sometimes it was annoying.
So in short, I didn’t like this movie though this movie had the potential to be very good.
