10 Things That You Should Not Miss To Do In Bali

1) Head to the Beach – Bali has best beaches in the world!

Bali is an island beach. So one thing in Bali is to spend at least one or two days at the beach. Learn to surf at Kuta beach or relax in other famous beaches such as Sanur, Legian, and Seminyak.

If you prefer a peaceful beach then Padang, Balangan, Dreamland or Lovina is the better choice. For the die-hard surfers check Uluwatu beach as well.

2) Cherish the Rice Paddies – Eye-pleasing greenery!

If you are traveling to Bali, it would be improbable not to notice them. Beautiful rice fields and terraces that just seems to go on and on. If you want to see more of this fantastic human-made landscape, you have to plan a day trip to the Middle Jatiluih Bali. A Road trip to Rendang past and sideman in East Bali takes you along the beautiful rice field as well.

But if you do not feel like driving around then you can head to Ubud and do a walking tour or head to Tegallalang rice paddies north of Ubud where you can find rice terraces included in the UNESCO World Heritage site.

3) Relax at the natural hot springs Spa – Hot Spring is a Healing Spa!

Visiting one of the many spas may be one of the relaxing things to do in Bali. Choose between different types of resorts, from the very modern and stylish for a traditional or that set in the canyon of the river or the fields.

4) Watch the Cultural Traditional Performances!
As evening set its value to go to one of the many dances of Bali, Ubud. Throughout the village, there are many performances such as wayang kulit (leather puppet), Legong (traditional classical dances), Kecak (trance dance), etc.

If you live in the southern part of the island, you can watch Kecak fire in the temple of Uluwatu. One of the best settings for watching a dramatic performance.

5) Study Any of the many programs in Bali!
Instead of praising or admiring the various types of Balinese art, you can learn to make their own. Most hotels in Bali and anywhere around Ubud offer all kinds of courses such as wood carvings, paintings dance, cooking, etc.

6) Visiting Magnificent Temples!

Bali is an island of the gods. So it’s not surprising there are thousands of temples in the isle. Temple, the most famous among travelers, is Tanah Lot, just north of Kuta and Temple Besakih. This temple is the most famous temple in Bali and is considered the as mother temple.
One of my favorite temple complexes, however, Uluwatu built on dramatic cliffs. Another favorite is the ancient temple complex of Gunung Kawi and Goa Gajah near Ubud.

7) Meet Pleasant Dolphins at Lovina Beach!
All the way up north in Lovina Beach you can watch the dolphins catch fish every morning. Not only is it a breathtaking sight to see a large number of dolphins leaping out of the water and swim near your boat, but the boat trip in the morning will be a pleasant experience as well.
You can also organize boat when you arrive at Lovina or if you do not plan to stay there, other villages will offer day trips to Lovina too. Expect to get up early for this!

8) See Bali in Different Way!
The exceptional thing about Bali is that wherever you go there is something nice to see. So what better way to do this on bikes. Especially in Ubud, there are many companies bike tour that takes you through the villages, rice paddies and passes along the smaller ones.

It’s a great way to see Bali close. And the best thing is that you do not have to be an athlete to join. All ages are welcome so do not hesitate to put this on your to do things in the list of Bali!

9) Check out the Underwater World!
If you are planning to visit Bali a little longer and you love to dive or snorkel, then you should go to Menjangan Island, North West Bali.

10) Hike through Mount Batur at Kintamani, Bali.

The last activity of my ‘Top 10 Things to do in Bali’ is to be active among us: hiking. Mountains and volcanoes on the island offer great opportunities for this. You can choose to hike to Mount heaviest Mount Agung or less difficult to Mount Batur. Mount Batur is an active volcano located in North East Bali and is one of the most popular sightseer destinations on the island.
